As a Nurse Registry, we refer qualified, independently contracted caregivers — Companions, HHAs, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs — to clients who want care in the comfort of home. Every caregiver is verified, credentialed, and matched to the family's specific needs.
We serve seniors, veterans, individuals with special needs, and any family navigating a transition that calls for extra hands at home. We accept private pay and assist with long-term care insurance and VA-related home-care benefits.
Meet Denise Helmsorig
The heart and vision behind Care Alternatives.
Born to Italian immigrant parents and raised in South Florida, Denise began her career in patient care at a young age and quickly found her passion in home healthcare. She has dedicated more than 50 years to the healthcare industry, building a career centered around helping others.
Denise took the leap to build a company of her own, combining her extensive knowledge of both Medicare and private duty care to better guide families through every stage of the caregiving process. Care Alternatives was founded on the belief that families deserve compassionate, dependable, and knowledgeable care they can trust — a mission Denise has proudly brought to life.
She leads Care Alternatives with a hands-on, people-first approach that reflects both her professional experience and personal values. The company is committed to matching families with qualified caregivers while providing support, professionalism, and peace of mind throughout every stage of care. Denise believes quality care starts with quality caregivers, which is why the company has consistently maintained deficiency-free surveys and places a strong focus on ensuring every caregiver is properly screened, trained, and supported before entering a patient’s home.
